Thank you for your interest in POWER AUDITION WORKSHOP.)
September 12, 19, 26, October 3
Lake Harriet United Methodist Church
7:00-10:00
Learn the methodology to analyze the aria or theatrical song, never to be at the mercy of uncertainty during your audition again! Here is the brief introduction by Steve:
Much as in teaching Shakespeare technique, the idea is to help singers (opera, operetta and musical comedy) become better actors. So often, highly structured material, whether an aria or Shakespearean sonnet, is perceived by singer-actors as a limiting obstacle rather than expansive ally. The course will help singers find a different approach through complementary perspective on music and will allow them to see how music suggests strong acting choices, which integrate vocal technique with emotional presence and honesty.
Active participants - $180.00 - yes, that's right.
Active participation is limited to 6 people.
Auditors - $70.00
What to prepare:
Aria (opera or operetta) or musical comedy (no Lieder, Pop or Western style please).
