
Cassandra Herold is currently the elementary orchestra instructor for Edina Public Schools, teaching beginning violin, viola, cello and bass to fifth graders throughout the district. Prior to this position, she taught elementary orchestra grades 4-6 in Willmar, MN. She also has a small private studio of viola and violin students, and performs as a violist with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra and Allegro Sinfonia.
Cassandra is a graduate of Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree. She completed her Master of Music in String Development at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Cassandra currently serves on the board of the Minnesota String and Orchestra Teachers Association as Membership Coordinator. She has coordinated many events for teachers and students, including the Middle Level Orchestra Festival and Fall String Camp.
In her spare time, Cassandra enjoys being outside cross country skiing, rollerblading, gardening and rock climbing.
